Supply and demand, as it applies to wikiVegan, states that if more paying customers want and buy vegan options, a business will be more obliged to offer them. Some people call it voting with your wallet. Buy the vegan options from the companies that offer them and they'll tend to continue to offer them, they'll tend to offer more of them, and more companies will tend to catch on and do the same.

If vegans avoid certain restaurants or stores, even when they offer vegan alternatives, the demand for those vegan alternatives may not be very high and the company will be more likely to discontinue them and we'll see fewer vegan choices.

We'd like to see vegan options offered everywhere and we'd like to see more clear labeling of whether or not products are vegan. So we are letting our voices be heard by our local restaurants and stores, as well as by online merchants and national chains. And we're voting with our wallets by actually purchasing vegan alternatives, wherever they may be.
